Full Spectrum: Weddings, Film Sets, and the Future of Oklahoma Arts.

Lights, Camera, Action... and Leadership! 🎬

What a monumental weekend for the Wheelhouse family! We were celebrating major milestones and logging miles all across Oklahoma.

Family Milestones & 14 Years

First, I couldn’t be prouder of my wife, Dana, who graduated from the Oklahoma Leadership Arts Program at the State Capitol. Her commitment to improving our community is truly inspiring! We also celebrated 14 years of marriage low-key style with cookie dough, chili mangoes, and The Lowdown on FX—perfection.

The creativity doesn't stop there: the oldest youngin' has been hard at work for two years on her clay TV dramedy, and she just had her first table read! She’s handled the production sheets, budgeting, props, and set deco—a true producer in the making!

Event Marathon & Industry Updates

We wrapped another three-event marathon this weekend across the state, bringing the party to Durant, Shawnee, and our favorite, @merrick_hollow in Guthrie! It was a privilege to work with @_eventsbyb, @wynkoopphotography, @coledeweydesigns, @brendaofficiatesokc, and @sipofpourfection on a flawlessly executed wedding. Party, party, party!

Bonus: I was able to connect with Robert Ruiz at an event as he performed with his PHENOMINAL band Mariachi Orgullo de America @mariachiorgullodeamericaoklahoma. I'm telling you, this performance blew me away. If you haven't already seen them perform make sure to give them a follow. You won't regret it!

  • Theater Life: We saw Evil Dead the Musical with our Wheelhouse friends on its final night before we dive into our annual tradition of A Territorial Christmas rehearsals (stacked cast this year!).

  • Music & Film: We nailed down the final band lineup for our annual fundraiser at Pepper's Ranch and finalized the country set. Plus, a new film project starts this week. We will be filming in the OKC area so keep an eye out!

  • Live Music Pipeline: We’ve booked the bands for the final Red Brick Nights of the 2025 season. Join us in downtown Guthrie on November 1st for live music all over town!

Culture, Cuisine, and Community

You can join Dana for her culinary class at Meridian Technology Center! We'll be celebrating Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) with culture and cuisine.

Día de Muertos Culinary Class: Experience the culture and cuisine of Mexico while learning about Día de Muertos. Possible menu items include chile rellenos, chalupas (nothing like Taco Bell), tinga poblana, atole, and dulce de leche candy. You will learn the history and customs of the holiday while you enjoy the delicious food! This class is more than a cooking class. It is a celebration of culture and cuisine.

Party!
